  15. The XAD is for file extraction from archives! It can be compared to XFD
  16. system, which is for single file decrunching. They do different work,
  17. but are used together often.
  18.  
  19. This is a library providing an interface for unarchiving all possible
  20. types of file or disk archives. It is NOT an archiver GUI or anything
  21. like that. This system does the COMPLETE unarchiving stuff with internal
  22. routines, NOT calling shell programs or using other programs to do the
  23. work!

  25. The interface can be built by application programs like included shell
  26. utilities. It provides same features and interface for ALL types of
  27. supported archivers. E.g. virus checkers could use this system to do
  28. very comfortable background archive checking.

  48. - Added support for SectorLabels (only disk hook allows to use them).
  49.   Needed to bump the version to 9, because of new tags, data fields.
  50.   Updated clients to pass SectorLabel information. Updated xadUnDisk to
  51.   support necessary switch.
  52. - Added updated SensiDisk client and new PAK and LightFileSystem clients
  53.   done by Ronald van Dijk.
  54. - Fixed bug in Tar client. Thanks Stuart Caie for the hint.
  55. - Updated CAB client from Stuart Caie.
